Trim Your Spikes

The battle to remove traction isn’t a common one but it does happen. Ultra high-grip tracks are becoming the norm and whether it’s clay or carpet, traction rolling and flipping can be tough to eliminate. Altering the tread of your tires has always been a useful tuning aid in this area. Trimming the outside row of spikes off your rubber will help reduce traction rolling while maintaining forward grip. You can even go one step further and coat your sidewalls with CA glue to reduce sidewall flex and further reduce side-grip. Be careful when making these types of changes as unlike other tuning options, you can’t go back on these ones so easily.
